Message from Dean Carole Kenner
Welcome to A Bright New Academic Year!
It is hard to believe we are starting a new year with new students, faculty, and staff. We welcome Drs. Jacqui Ioli, PhD, CRNP, PPCNP-BC, Marina Celly Martins Riebeiro de Souza, PhD and Ms. Mei Zhao, BS . Dr. Ioli will be teaching in the Nursing department and Dr. de Souza in Public Health. Ms. Mei Zhao is our new part time staff person to assist our faculty and staff with grants. We are very glad to have all of you with us.
We are continuing to move forward and have received one new scholarship for students within our school. On the horizon is another scholarship, The Sally Flanagan Scholarship, that we are currently seeking to bring to the endowed level – $25,000.
Our programs continue to grow as well. The graduate Nursing program is now on the TCNJ campus and offsite at St. Peter’s. The Public Health undergraduate program attracted almost 200 students -majors, double majors, and minors. The proposal for the Master’s of Public Health (MPH) program is currently in the review process at the state. If all goes well, the MPH will start Fall, 2018.
Our Nursing NCLEX scores are at 95% with HES PRAXIS at 94.4%. I am excited to be a part of such an excellent school!
I hope you have a wonderful new academic year. Thank you to the faculty and staff for all that you do to support our students.
